Principal/Chief Financial Officer

As CFO for Thinkwell, François oversees the financial well being of the company. By spearheading partnerships overseas and seeking out investors for Thinkwell owned intellectual properties, François’ focus is to secure the financial future of Thinkwell Group and its subsidiaries.

As Thinkwell Executive Producer, François has led a variety of projects for the company including: Twentieth Century’s Fox’s Ice Age Adventure! dark ride at Movie Park Germany; the immersive experiences and attractions for the Škoda Auto Consumer Experience in Prague; the master planning effort for The Magical Lands of Oz – a 100-acre theme park soon to break ground in upstate New York; an innovative multimedia show for the New Songdo City development in Seoul; and a destination resort in Dubai like no other in the world that is a city within a city, brimming with vibrant life and never-ending diversion. Currently François is the Sound Designer for Zed, Cirque du Soleil’s newest creation in Tokyo.

Born and raised in Canada, he left the Quebec theatre world in 1989 and “ran away to join the circus” – Cirque du Soleil. Prior to founding Thinkwell, François worked with Cirque du Soleil for more than 15 years, serving as Technical Director and Sound Designer for numerous productions. To this day, François continues to create new aural experiences for Cirque’s productions around the globe.

Awarded Entertainment Design magazine’s “Sound Designer of the Year,” he has participated in the development of audio and technical design for multiple projects including the Hayden Planetarium in New York City; the Niketown flagship stores in London, Berlin and New York; EFX in Las Vegas; Science City in Kansas City; Templo del Fuego for Universal Studios Port Aventura; and live shows and a nighttime spectacular for Tokyo Disney Sea.
