Principal/Chief Operating Officer
As Chief Operating Officer, Joe is responsible for the corporate operation and growth of Thinkwell Group and its subsidiaries. As Executive Producer he has produced a wide variety of projects ranging from live shows and events like the opening of M&M’s World in New York, to numerous small and large-scale developments and educational experiences, such as the Thea Award-winning Jurassic Park Institute Tour, and the enormously successful Sesame Street Presents: The Body, an interactive, educational experience for children and their parents that is currently touring museums nationwide.
Joe is a strong proponent of integrating new technology to tell stories in immersive experiences, as evidenced through his Executive Producer role on Universal 360 – A Cinesphere Spectacular – a high-tech outdoor nighttime spectacular that fuses an eye-popping combination of pyrotechnics, cutting-edge one-of-a-kind full color lasers and the world’s largest high definition projections.
As a freelance Producer and Production Manager, Joe has been intimately involved in the production of ten Super Bowl halftime or pre-game shows, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta, and the Hong Kong ‘97 Spectacular celebrating Hong Kong’s reunification with China.
Prior to joining Thinkwell, Joe spent three years with Universal Studios’ Creative Group as a producer and as Director of the Creative Studio, where he oversaw the concept development of new shows and attractions for all of Universal’s properties around the world. Joe’s many clients have included MTV, the Walt Disney Company, Radio City Music Hall Productions and Don Mischer Productions. Joe also had a secret career as a professional trumpet player.
