Traveling Exhibition

Thinkwell provided all design, production/installation, project management and operational planning for the Thea Award-winning Jurassic Park Institute Tour. The goal of the exhibition was to educate visitors about paleontology, archeology and contemporary dinosaur discoveries, while utilizing the blockbuster films of the Jurassic Park franchise as the entertainment patina over the educational elements.

Thinkwell created a linear, pulsed experience that featured animatronic dinosaurs, field laboratories complete with actors delivering authentic science information, dinosaur “habitat” areas, a dinosaur discovery center, and a surprising dinosaur aviary encounter.

Working with world-class paleontologists Dr. Robert T. Bakker and Dr. James I. Kirkland, Thinkwell developed a curriculum and learning goals that covered everything from natural selection and DNA biotechnology to internal physiology and recent dinosaur discoveries.

Jurassic Park Institute Tour has raised the bar for interactive exhibits by creating a totally immersive experience that is not only content-rich and educational, but also entertaining and delightfully engaging.
