Thinkwell and leading Chicago architectural firm Ross Barney + Jankowski partnered to enter a design competition held by the Museum of Science and Industry for a new, major landmark exhibition based on Mars, space exploration and discovery. The team was selected from a field of award-winning international firms to develop and present a comprehensive facility analysis, high concept design, and implementation plan.
In under three months the team produced a full conceptual plan, model, key art, storyboards, scripts, learning goals, project schedule, budget, facility integration and buildout plan, and guest narrative for a 20,000 square foot exhibition. The Thinkwell/Ross Barney + Jankowski team was one of the top three finalists of 41 total firms invited to participate in the process.
