Universal Studios Florida
Thinkwell, in partnership with the Universal Orlando Entertainment Group, designed and produced Universal 360 – A Cinesphere Spectacular, the biggest and most sophisticated end-of-day show ever produced for Universal Orlando. Tens of thousands attended the inaugural 4th of July show, resulting in the highest guest retention rate for any Universal nighttime spectacular.
The media-driven show fuses an eye-popping combination of pyrotechnics, cutting-edge full color lasers and state-of-the-art high definition projection technology – with more than 100 movie clips from some of the most popular films ever made projected onto 30-foot spheres floating in the park’s central lagoon.
In addition to the 360-degree spherical projections, we added a new dimension to nighttime spectaculars – amazing new digitally mapped high definition projections onto building facades around the lagoon, resulting in a true 360-degree experience. The state-of-the-art projections are the largest projected high def images in the world.
The experience also features:
• Over 30 synchronized and integrated projection fields.
• Over 60 minutes of original computer animation.
• The first U.S. permanent installation of a fully integrated pan and tilt, full-color laser system.
• An original score featuring Academy Award-winning film theme songs performed by a 60-piece symphony orchestra and broadcast over more than 300 outdoor speakers.
