Aichi, Japan
Thinkwell was contracted by Hakuhodo, one of the two largest advertising agencies in Japan, to create an amazing pavilion for the electronics brand giant Hitachi. This ride concept took visitors on a trip through an R&D lab run entirely by children, called The NEXT Institute, to see the amazing inventions created entirely by kids. The concept utilized a motion base ride system with 3D projection and physical effects to create a fun and exhilarating environment for guests of all ages, while exposing them to a Hitachi brand experience.
With an Expo theme of “man in harmony with nature,” Thinkwell created a compelling story of how the “next generation” and all their imaginative skills could address some of the world’s most pressing issues.
As guests leave exit the ride they explore a series of biomes to see how children have solved many of the world’s ecological challenges – from harnessing thermo power in volcanoes to installing wave power generators on the ocean floor.
